Who We Are

One Vision is a non-profit organization that supports individuals with disabilities to achieve greater independence through personal choice and community involvement.

We offer a range of services including finding jobs, supporting individuals in homes that meet their needs, and encouraging them to pursue personal interests.

One Vision, originally founded in 1966 as Handicap Village, opened for services in 1971. Our organization changed its name to Opportunity Village in 1994, a change that more accurately reflected our identity and mission. In 2017, we rebranded and embraced the name One Vision to symbolize how our founders came together with a common vision that still helps guide our efforts today - to advance independence and inclusion.

Today, One Vision provides services in several Iowa communities and has evolved our realm of service to include various ventures such as our Boyer Pool and Wellness Center, Thrift Solutions, and Glen Oaks Community efforts that provide revenue for our organization and job opportunities for the people we support.
